"Courage is not simply one of the virtues but the form of every virtue at the
testing point, which means at the point of highest reality." - C.S. Lewis
I've already hit a realization after just moving thousands of miles away. Something everyone has heard and offered as advice to others. Everything has a purpose.
A new beginning, full of adventure, wishful thinking, disappointment, and adjustment.
"Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't
practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but
nothing consistently without courage." - Maya Angelou
Funny you can know what is to come but not seek it out. Instead it smacks you in the face. To be scared and unsure of what it holds, although you know it holds grace and mercy, hope and love, something better than your wildest dreams...
Why do we run? What benefits from ignoring things so beautiful and transparent?

MY SPOT
I took a quiz online and these were the 'spots' that were chosen for me in this order:
1. Denver, CO
2. Seattle, WA
5. Fort Collins, CO
9. Boulder, CO
12. Knoxville, TN
Those are the ones that I have considered before taking the quiz. There were a lot of CO, WA, and AZ suggestions... Nothing that was east, except TN and OH was mentioned...
Good thing I'm moving to #2...CO and AZ wouldn't fall far behind though

Explore. Dream. Discover.
Seattle is days away from reality.
4 seasons, hiking, sister
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe Harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sales. Explore. Dream. Discover.

3 things everyday...
"To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number 1 is LaUgH. You should laugh every day. Number 2 is THINK. You should spend some time in thought. And number 3 is, you should have your emotions moved tO tEaRs, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a FULL DAY. That's a heck of a day. You do that 7 days a week, you're going to have sOmEtHiNg SpEcIaL." -- Jim Valvano at the Arthur Ashe Courage Award Address

this semester...
Why should resolutions only be left up to the start of the calendar year?
I plan to
--conquer my fear of heights
--speak spanish
--teach myself guitar
--read more often
more importantly: learn to come to terms with the phrase "everything happens for a reason"
